Non-Executive Board Member Opportunities – Deadline for receipt of Expressions of Interest is 10th July 2020
The Lancashire Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is a strategic collaboration between business, universities and local councils which directs economic growth and drives high quality local job creation.
Led by the private sector, the LEP Board is made up of Directors from a range of sectors, backgrounds, industries and experience and our ambition is to have a board which is inclusive, diverse, and reflective of the Lancashire business community.
If you are passionate about making Lancashire an exceptional place to live, work and invest and can bring a fresh, inspirational approach with a commitment to driving real change in the Lancashire economy then we would like to hear from you.
With the advent of Covid-19, these are challenging times for the Lancashire economy as we seek to mitigate the long-terms adverse effects on our businesses and refocus our attention to identifying areas for intervention to secure the sustainability of our businesses.
We are looking for two Non-Executive Directors from the private sector and would be particularly interested in hearing from senior business leaders with digital transformation skills, however this is not a pre-requisite. What is more important is your commitment to providing insight into sector-specific challenges arising from Covid-19, helping us realise our growth ambitions and act as a champion for Lancashire.
We offer mentoring and support from other Board members to help get you started and providing you have a genuine interest in helping Lancashire thrive, we don’t need you to have any prior board experience. This role requires you to dedicate roughly a day per month to the LEP although some Board Members commit more and some less. Most of the time is spent at Board meetings, support at events or representing the LEP at meetings or task groups.
If you feel you have the experience, passion and commitment to be part of a Board looking to make a significant impact on the economic wellbeing of all our residents, and would like to be considered for one of the roles, in the first instance complete the Expression of Interest form which is available in the resource section below along with a candidate information pack.
