The M55 Heyhouses Link Road will deliver a new 2.5 kilometre single carriageway road between Lytham St Annes Way near Peel Hill and North Houses Lane to the north of St Annes.

It will significantly improve access between Lytham St Annes and the Strategic Road Network at M55 Junction 4, improving access to key housing and employment sites including; Queensway, Whitehills Business Park, Blackpool & Fylde Industrial Estate and the Enterprise Zones at Blackpool Airport and Warton.  The new road replaces a length of moss road known as Wild Lane, currently closed due to structural failure, and will include enhanced facilities for pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians.
