Mike has been in BT since 1992. His current role is that of North West Regional Director. 

He lives in the North West and has been BT’s Regional Director for the North West since 2007.  This role brings the voice of the North West into BT and helps to bring the BT story to life across the North West, by being the local face and focal point for access to the whole of BT.

Mike is Chair of the Greater Manchester Local Enterprise Partnership. This is a board designed to support business and local authorities to grow the local economy, tackle major barriers to growth and develop shared strategies for the local economy to increase job creation. The board comprises Manchester business and local authority leaders.

Mike also sits on the board of the Lowry Theatre, Salford.

He has been a Trustee of NYAS since 2000. This is a national charity based in Birkenhead which gives socio-legal advice and advocacy support to children and young people.

Mike is Chair of governors at the Manchester Communication Academy, which opened in Harpurhey in 2010. This Academy has already achieved some significant success in its community programmes as well as its partnership arrangements. From a standing start and with no predecessor school the Academy now attracts double the number of students for each available place.

Mike sits on the North West advisory board for the Prince of Wales charity, Business in the Community, and was selected as the Prince’s NW Regional Ambassador for 2010/11 and 2011/12.

Mike is married with three children and lives in Cheshire.
