The Chair of the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, Steve Fogg is urging Lancashire businesses to make contact with trade and businesses associations who are able to offer help and support during the Covid-19 crisis. ”There are undoubtedly a large number of Lancashire businesses which are experiencing significant challenges at this moment in time. Most will be aware of the economic support packages which has been announced by Government, however many remain unclear as to which of the support packages they are eligible for or how to access them.
”Whilst much of the detail behind the various schemes is still being developed, there is a range of help and advice which is available to support businesses and I would encourage them to make contact. Even if questions are yet unable to be answered in relation to some of the Government support packages, help is on hand to provide practical advice and tips to improving the resilience of your business.”
He went on to say ”The Lancashire Enterprise Partnership is acutely aware that it is currently extremely tough for businesses, but you are not alone. We are working closely with our partner organisations to ensure that help is on hand during this difficult time and that there is a co-ordinated effort to support our Lancashire businesses to come out of the other side. By working together, we are able to gain a better understanding not only of the challenges and needs of businesses, but also the obstacles encountered in accessing the economic support packages and those for whom there is currently no financial support available. We are backing our businesses and will work with Government to rectify these issues in an attempt to minimise the long-term impact of Covid-19 on the Lancashire economy.”
